Guacamole is a traditional Mexican dip which is prepared using avocados / butter fruit and serves mainly as a dip. This is will go best with Nachos, tortilla chips etc. Though avocados are heavy in calories, those are nutrient dense calories. And the fats are heart healthy monounsaturated fats and omega-3. We usually enjoy this dip for chapati which is less time consuming and very tasty too..Sharing this recipe for "G" for ABC series of Blogging Marathon 32.
Preparation time: 5 ~ 10 minutes
Cooking time: 0 minutes
2 ripe avocados
¼ cup onion finely chopped
¼ cup tomato finely chopped
2~ 3 small green chills, chopped finely or to taste
1 ~ 2 tbsp lemon juice or to taste
Salt to taste
1. In a mixing bowl, Scoop avocados pulp and mash it to required consistency.
2. Throw in chopped onions, tomatoes, green chill, cilantro and salt. Mix everything together. Adjust salt and spice to taste. If needed you can also add pepper powder avoiding chilies.
3. Add lemon juice to the mixture before serving. Enjoy Guacamole with chips or chapathi..
